Sunday was a fun filled afternoon of spending time with family. Bradley’s grandad turns 70 on Tuesday so we always try and have some sort of get together. It’s really nice with it being close to Christmas because it means we get to exchange gifts and cards with the family who live away.
We went to Norton Lodge and had a lovely meal, it was a set menu of either Vegatable soup or Prawn cocktail for starter, a carvery for the main which consisted of turkey, beef, roast and boiled potatoes, Brussels sprouts, carrots and roast parsnips and pudding was profiteroles or icecream. Cheese and biscuits along with coffee was provided too.
The price was very good, it was £20 per adult and £10 per child which I was really pleased with. The staff were polite although could of been a little more happier and put a smile on their faces.
We all had a great catch up and giggles. The time together was lovely as there have been a few issues with some family members for one reason or another and so to all be in the same room, getting along was wonderful.
No family is perfect and our family know that all too well, however life is far to short to hold grudges and have petty arguments as you never know what tomorrow will bring.
